Repair conditions

UNDER WARRANTY


Our company has an agreement with the UPS courier and the products travel free of charge with relative insurance.

1. Repairs will be carried out under warranty only if accompanied by: tax document (receipt, purchase or sales invoice) with the indication of the product purchased, clearly legible and with the duly completed warranty certificate.

2. The warranty expires if the appliance is tampered with, dropped, oxidized, etc. In this case, a repair estimate will be sent (see paid repair conditions).

3. For unsold appliances it is essential to provide the purchase invoice.

4. The guarantee will in any case be valid only after an assessment by our technicians.

5. Camera Service srl declines all responsibility for devices not collected within 15 days from the date of notification of the repair. After this period, after a further notification, the device will be returned to the customer via UPS courier with the charge of shipping costs (€16.00 VAT included), management costs (€15.00 VAT included) and the costs for insurance coverage equal to 0.5% of the value of the goods; if the customer refuses the shipment, we are given the right to SELL or DEMOLISH the device to compensate for our economic requests towards him.


FOR A FEE

1. Paid repairs are carried out without notice for amounts (excluding VAT) up to:

  • SLR cameras €150.00
  • SLR photo app and professional lenses €250.00
  • NON-professional lenses €80.00
  • Consumer mini-dv video cameras €120.00
  • Professional DV Video Cameras €250.00
  • If the repair cost exceeds the cost entered in the table, the customer will be sent a new estimate that must be formally accepted by fax, e-mail or rejected. Products that are not covered by the warranty must be shipped at the customer's expense with a courier of their choice. The freight collect option is excluded. Any losses or damages will not be reimbursed by CAMERA SERVICE.

2. If the repair amount is higher than the limit amount above, a quote will be sent and the product will be repaired only after written approval by the customer. Devices with a quote not accepted within 15 days from the date of communication will be returned to the sender, with the charge of management costs (€15.00 VAT included), shipping costs (€16.00 VAT included) and insurance coverage costs equal to 0.5% of the value of the goods.

4. The goods to be repaired out of warranty must be sent via a courier of your choice. If you prefer, you can use our reference courier UPS, at a cost of €16.00 per trip. It is necessary to contact UPS at the number 02 /0303039 or at the internet address http://www.ups.it, requesting shipping with carriage forward and STANDARD mode, and providing our customer code 49A6W0.

Attention: Shipping carried out via our reference courier UPS, according to the methods expressed above, does not include insurance coverage in any case.
Any loss or damage will not be refunded by CAMERA SERVICE.

5. In case of refusal of the estimate, the customer may opt for the demolition of the appliance, thus avoiding the management costs and those for the return of the appliance.

6. Payment must be made upon collection of the appliance.

7. Repairs are covered by a six-month warranty (on work carried out).

8. The return of the device takes place via a Canon-approved courier.

9. If, at the time of repair, additional work is required in addition to that estimated, the total cost will be communicated to the customer. Any storage devices (CF, SD, MMC, etc.) left inside the devices could be damaged during the work; the company declines all responsibility for any damage.

10. Replaced spare parts – if not requested – are disposed of as waste, pursuant to Legislative Decree 5 February 1997, n. 22.

11. Any complaints regarding malfunctions must be reported within 8 days.

12. The Court of Rome shall have jurisdiction over any disputes.
